Following the international success of the SATRA award winning, non-foam or gel  Redbacks Kneepads, which after just 4 years in production now sell in over 22 countries, manufacturers Redbacks Cushioning Limited have been shortlisted for a new product, ‘The Redbacks Kneeler’ to win another innovation award, this time from one of the most established names in the building and home improvement markets – Travis Perkins plc.

Using the same patented technology principals drawn from its kneepad predecessor, The Redbacks Kneeler is a cushion pad designed for maximum skeletal comfort and knee protection whilst kneeling for any length of time on harsh or unyielding surfaces.

Comprised of two parts, the inner cushion is made from a rubberised plastic consisting of multiple leaf-springs within an open matrix which gently suspends and cushions the knees, and a breathable, water resistant, removable and washable cover; this has a non-slip and penetration-resistant bottom layer and a soft-stretch top that allows kneeling with bare knees without irritation. The product is designed to appeal to many trades and industries where kneeling is vital in work situations as well as having many practical uses for the consumer.
