One of Canada’s leading safety components suppliers, Swenco Limited of Waterloo, Ontario have agreed to co-brand Redbacks knee pads with Swenco‘s Steel-Flex label.

For more than 50 years, Swenco Limited has been North America’s largest manufacturer and most-trusted supplier of engineered safety components used in most recognized brands of safety footwear, including Honeywell, Kodiak, Timberland, Dakota, Terra, STC, Red Wing, Baffin and many others; it has chosen Redbacks kneepads because of their unique leaf-spring design, which unlike foam backed pads, maintain maximum cushioning effect throughout consecutive or prolonged use.

The patented design and construction of the company’s products are based on a special moulded leaf-spring suspended in an arch by a flexible honeycomb matrix. When pressure is applied directly above the soft leaf spring it levels, dispersing the force and spreading the weight. Redbacks knee pads come in two formats: one that straps over the knee, and one that slips into knee pockets of specially designed workwear.
